Q: Can aphasia have long term effects?

I have had @3 migraines with aphasia. The last one was @2 months ago and I feel like my short term memory has been effected, I am forgetting things a lot lately.

Aphasia is loss or impairment of the power to use or comprehend words. Is that what you're talking about? Aphasia should stop by the time a Migraine attack is over. You might also find one of our Ask the Clinician questions about Migraines and memory helpful. Take a look HERE.

 

Please DO mention this to your doctor. It may be Migraine, but it could also be something else. You should speak to your doctor to be sure.
