My personal experience with Topamax was very effective at first. Then slowly I didn't notice changes in my behavior such as sleep loss, weight loss and surge in energy. This slowly changed into some mania. I started smoking, lost my job and turned into a complete moron. I couldn't remember very basic things and couldn't focus.

I had a very bad experience with it and it wasn't until I was diagnosed with bi polar and manic depression that I realized the connection. Getting off of Topamax was difficult also. I never noticed any of these side effects on the label or mentioned by the neurologist that prescribed this too me. I wish I could sue them. However there is a statue of limitations with time.

I am no longer on Topamax and no longer have bi polar or manic depression. Those are my facts I have a friend on Myspace who had visual side effects due to Topamax. So it might be good for you who knows but chemicles don't work well for everyones chemistry. I never had a migraine on Topamax I did have the side effects.
