Q: Seeing lasting flashes of light - not like a migraine aura - and no headache

I have classic migraines with aura about twice a year, but in the past few months I will suddenly see a spot of light in only one eye that sticks around for 2-3 days.  It's different than my migraine aura - more like a light spot you would see after looking into a bright light.  Sometimes after seeing it for a couple days I will get a mild to moderate headache, but not a typical migraine.  Is this related to my migraines or something different?

Hi rooter3rah, Have you had your eyes examined recently? There is no way for us to know what is happening with you because we are not medical professionals here. What we can do is provide you with information and support. How does that soudnd? Any time we have a change in our Migraine pattern it is always a good idea to discuss them with the doctor. I would make a call and talk it over with him. Let us know how you make out, ok? Nancy Reply
