Hi shelsers,

Yes, if it were me, I would take my son back to the doctor. Hemiplegic Migraine is a rare form of Migraine disease best treated by an expert - a Migraine specialist. When you get a chance, take a look at this article, Hemiplegic Migraine - The Basics for more information.

If you feel your sons doctor isn't helping, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

Good luck

Nancy
