Q: can you take topamax if you take synthroid for hypothyroidism
I took Topamax for about 5 years while on synthroid for hypothyroidism. I stopped the Topamax because I developed side effects as I continued to increase dosage, but there were no problems with the synthroid.
I take topamax. After I was put on synthroid I started having some really wierd side effects. I am currently awaiting my next appointment with my physician to find out if the interaction between the two could be the cause. I did not have and problems on the medications when taken by themselves.
