Q: Does anyone experience numbness or tingling in their hands prior to and during a migraine?

angela,

 

Numbness or tingling in the hands can be a Migraine symptom, usually an aura symptom. You can learn more about the possible phases of a Migraine attack and the potential symptoms in Anatomy of a Migraine.

 

If you haven't already discussed this with your doctor though, please do. Whenever we have new symptoms, it's important to discuss them with our doctors to be sure that they are Migraine and not something else.

Yes I do and down my left arm. i believe its part of a aura?

yes, i get numbness in the leftside myface and left arm and hand.  Dr's can figure it out.

i get numbness all up one side of my body even my face an tongue prior to a migraine
