I can't speak for everyone, but in general, people who don't like taking Topamax are those experiencing problematic side effects, especially cognitive side effects. Before you agree to give your son Topamax, I suggest you do some reading and discuss it thoroughly with his doctor. If you don't like what you hear, tell the doctor that and ask that he prescribe something else. There are many, many other options. You can find a lot of information about Topamax on our site.
