Thursday, December 10, 2009 Crywolfe asks

Q: Is there any help for me or should I give up and realize Im gonna have to live this way?

I have had medicines from depakote, lexapro, norvasc, benzapril, nefedipin, prozac, paxil, zoloft, effexor, metaprolol, axert, maxalt, wellbutrin, trazadone, adderral, imitrex, relpax, clonazepam, gabapentin, baclofen, accolate, topomax, singulair, indomethacin, lotrel, amnitriptyline, zomig, frova, verapamil, trileptal, depacon, doxipin, lexapro, compazine and others. Im at a loss at what to do now. Am I a loss cause? Im tired of having these day after day. The emergency room and hospitals are tired of seeing me. In a month Im only allowed to go 2 times. I have to go 2 to 3 weeks @ a time with these because they think Im coming in cause Im "ADDICTED" they dont understand obviously and Im at a loss. If I wait that long to go in its mostly a guarantee its coming back. So Im back to square one.Ive been diagnosed to have: Muscle Tension, Cluster w/ aura, BTM, Status Migranious & Chronic Daily Headache

NOBODY has to "give up" and "live this way."

Who has diagnosed you with all of these different headache disorders? It's possible to have them all, but it would be extremely rare.

If your doctor isn't able to help you, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

Seeing a real Migraine and headache specialist is what finally turned things around for me and got meout of the situation of having nearly daily Migraines. Many people have had similar experiences of seeing doctor after doctor, but not really getting help until they see a specialist. Going to the ER should be a very rare thing for us. A specialist should be able to help you find a treatment regimen to improve your quality of live and keep you out of the ER.

Please keep in touch and let me know how you're doing?

Good luck,

Teri

DUDE! Hugging you from here! ANd NO you do not have to live this way! SO DO NOT GIVE UP. ONE DAY AT A TIME you can do this. I PROMISE! I am on a Coctail of drugs right now and see the head of the neurology department at a big medical university. He has really helped me. I have changed my diet, totally, I have quit smoking, I exercise, I am gluten and wheat free - I eat nothing processed. No MSG. There are a ton of things you can do.....DO NOT GIVE UP! If I gave up - then I would be dead by now. I was wasting away to nothing and no one could figure out what was wrong with me. I lost and obsene about of weight in a very short period of time because I had such bad vertigo that I threw up about three hours at least three or four nights a week. My husband and I had it down to a science by the end. He would even be able to go back to bed after he helped me to the bathroom. It was stupid. I diagnosied myself!! They had me diagnosed with something totally different and I said PEOPLE this is n't what I have!!!!!!!! ANd it turns out I was right! SO you just keep going, one day at a time. one day at a time, one day at a time!

GOD BLESS
