Hi, cindi,

TMJ is temeromandibular joint disorder. Actually, there are several such disorders, and they can cause pain in the jaw and associated muscles. It can occur on one or both sides.

While TMJDs cannot cause a person to have Migraine disease, a TMJD can trigger Migraqine attacks for some people.

We seldom have just one Migraine trigger. Do you know of any other triggers you have? When working to identify triggers one of the best tools is a good Migraine diary. You can read more about this and download a free diary workbook in our article Your Migraine and Headache Diary.

Hope this helps,

Teri
