Hi Queenie!
There are a couple things here that I want to share with you. First off, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible and get that Migraine broken! A Migraine lasting longer then 72 hours, with no more then a 4 hour break in pain (not including sleep) is called Status Migrainous. Our article: Status Migrainous: The Basics will explain about Status Migrainous and how serious it is.
That being said, I have a question for you. Are you taking medications daily to try and get rid of the pain? Taking things such as pain killers (narcotics), triptans (the medications used to abort a Migraine such as Imitrex) or over the counter medications such as Advil or Asprin can lead to Medication Overuse Headache, aka, Rebound Headache. Medication Overuse Headache: When Remedy Backfires will help you better understand how these medications can lead to MOH.
If you are in rebound, any preventive medication you are taking will not be effective. Nothing you take will help, unless you seek help from your doctor, or quit the offending medication. It would be helpful, if you feel you are in rebound, to seek help from your doctor to stop this cycle. If you are in need of a doctor, please check out our Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists. Also, to read about the difference between a doctor and a specialist, see Migraine and Headache Specialists: What's So Special?
Lastly, I am going to leave you with some good information to learn more about Migraine disease, and better help you, help your doctor at your appointment.

Also, if you have not read Living Well with Migraine Disease and Headaches by Teri Robert - I strongly suggest you pick up a copy. It is one of the best reference guides to Migraine and Headache disorders. It is also great to share this book with your family, so that they can better understand what you are going through. This book is my Migraine bible!
We also have a forum here on the site, if you would like to chat with other Migraineurs who understand what you are going through, and where you are coming from. You can click HERE to reach the forum. You can also get to the forum from the main page of the site, clicking "Migraine Forums" under the orange "manage" button.
Good Luck to you! Please let us know how you are doing, ok?

I wouldn't say that it is abnormal but it certainly isn't healthy. I don't know what sort of advice to give you because I don't know anything about your migraines. If you are finding that regular over the counters like advile or excedrine don't even begin to help with your headaches then maybe it's time to consult a doctor. I feel that neurologists know more about migraines than most doctors. There are also headache specialists, but they are sometimes harder to find.
If this is a first time incident - ask yourself what in your environment or actions could be causing it. If you would like to be more specific, feel free to send me a message and I'll try to give you some better advice
