Q: HelloHas anyone had a Radio Frequency Neurotomy at the C-1 level?

I have unstable vertebrae at C-1 & C-2 from an assault and they press on the nerves causing horrific pain. Fusion is tough to get but is what I need. Have been told that they basically need to see a fracture before doing this. My quality of life is almost a zero. Getting hopeless and the only thing I can think of is Pulsed Neurotomy at C-1 and C-2.

Hi Robin,

I've not had one, but did have a cervical fusion at c 4/5 & 5/6. All I can say is get lots of "second" opinions. If any doctor tells you he can promise you a pain-free life RUN! It just may not be possible.

Maybe others will be in to share. Have you been over to the discussion forum and asked this question? I'll give you the information below you need to go there.
