I just thought I would chime in here also. I have had migraines for over 13 years (and I'm almost 31), so I've lived with them a long time. A couple of times a year I get them so bad, where my vision is totally blurry and my jaw and muscles in my neck lock up. Talk about scary, scary!
The last time this happened, I was in the car, driving myself home from a convetion. Not good. I got back into town and I called my family and told them I was going right to the ER, not even stopping home, it would take too long. After many tests and such, they just said it was an atypical migraine. She said if I got them like that again, come back in? No kidding? I thought I'd stay home in pain. YIKES!!
Audrey, I sure hope you can get some help for your newly diagnosed migraines. Don't feel discouraged because not all meds work for everyone. In fact, I can't take the triptans because I had a stroke-like reaction to them.
Good Luck!
