Has anyone filed for Social Security Disability because of their migraines ? While my meds work, I miss work a lot and can not be depended on. I am worried about being able to keep my job.

Yes, people have been awarded SSI or SSDI based on Migraine disease. One of the most important things is whether your doctors consider you disabled by Migraine. They will be asked to fill out forms and make statements on your behalf. You can find some basic information about SSI and SSDI in Disability Benefits - SSI and SSDI.
Some of our forum members have applied for disability, and it's been discussed there. hi there although i hate the fact i have given in to my migraines as they seem to have taken over my life, i found i was also in the same position as you and reluctantly i have found myself now claiming DLA. please dont worry the help is there for you and if you get confused like i do someone will help you to fill in the forms. people are ignorant to the facts of migraine but once you explain the full concept of Hemiplegic Migraine they seem shocked and want to learn more, i wish you well.
