The man I love had surgery for an aneurysim when he was 27 years old.  He is now 57 years old and is experiencing severe headaches and neckache.  What are the chances that he could have another aneurysim?

Patricia,

I'm sorry, but nobody can really answer this question online. It depends on many things that can only be determined by knowing his full medical history and evaluating all available information about the first aneurysm. There are many variables such as the location and size of the first aneurysm, the surgery he had and more.

He needs to see his doctor about his current symptoms AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Good luck to you both,

Teri

My dear friend (boyfriend) had a clamp put in his neck when he was young because of an aneuryism. He is now 64 and was having terrible headaches so he went to the doctor. After MRI's, etc.  they found another aneuryism developed above it after all those years. Thank God he made it through the operation and he is just fine!! He still looks great and he acted quickly.. it was bigger than they expected but everything is fine now. GO TO the DR ASAP.
