CC,

A common side effect listed for Wellbutrin is headaches. That's not the same as Migraines, so one thing is to be sure that these are Migraines, not headaches. That said, it's possible that the Wellbutrin can make you more susceptible to Migraine triggers because of it's impact on neurotransmitter levels.

On a side note, I'd encourage you to get an accurat diagnosis too.

To simplify matters and make it easier for people to get information and treatment, doctors usually go by the gold standard for diagnosis, the International Headache Society's International Classification of Headache Disorders, 2nd Edition (ICHD-II). Under ICHD-II, there is no diagnosis of "complex Migraine." You can read more about the importance of a correct diagnosis in The Type of Migraine Does Matter and What Is a Complex or Complicated Migraine?

The bes tthing to do is talk with your doctor about this issue. If it appears that the Wellbutrin is a part of your increased Migraines, then it may be best to taper off it to be sure, then use a different antidepressant.

Welcome again!
Teri
