My doctor suggested CoQ10, 300mg, for migraine prevention. When I went to buy it, I found it confusing that there are so many forms -- tablets, capsules, softgels, liquids. Can anyone give me some guidance on which form is best?
Thank you,
Minnie

Minnie,
The form actually DOES matter. Coenzyme Q10 is less effective once it's been powdered to make tablets or capsules. The softgels or liquid are more effective. Personally, I find the softgels more convenient. It can be somewhat difficult to find them in 300mg dosage, but it's worth it to look for them. It's more expensive to take multiples -- three 100 mg for example. I've found 300 mg softgels at a good price HERE.
Be patient. It usually takes Coenzyme Q10 eight to 12 weeks to be effective. It's been a big help to me. You can read more about it in Coenzyme Q10 for Migraine Prevention.
Hope this helps!
Teri
