Q: My husband is 42 years old and for the last couple of months he has had, what he will explain as the worst pain on the top of his head , not a head ache but, in the scalp on the top of his head

This pain is not like a head ache , it is actually on his scalp, it is very itchy, and it burns and I am unable to gently touch his head at all, he has been shaving his head for the past 20 years so he is bald , but these symptoms have been progressing over the last few months , he has no neck discomfort , some shoulder discomfort when he sleeps , but has had cortisone injections in the past for that. Do you have any suggestions on what I should be looking up as far as research goes???

Hi TY,

No, I think enough research and call the doctor, especially if the symptoms are getting worse and progressing.

After you talk with the doctor, let us know how your husband  makes out, ok?

Good luck,

Nancy
