Hello, Steve,

The short answer to your question is, "Yes," but I'll give you more information than that.

First, about Migraines. Migraine is a genetic neurological disease. Migraine attacks really aren't headaches; they're "episodes" or "attacks" of this disease. If there is a headache, it's just on symptom of the Migraine attack. Some people have Migraines without a headache. If you'd like to learn more about Migraines, you'll find our article Migraines and Headaches - Living Well All Year a good place to start.

On the Prozac - It was originally developed for major depressive disorder (clinical depression), but was accidentally found to help some people have fewer and less severe Migraqines. It is sometimes prescribed for Migraine prevention.

Since you love this woman, you might ask her if you may go with her to her next appointment with the doctor who treats her Migraines. You could learn more about the disease and its treatment, and it would be a great source of support for her.

Hope this is helpful,

Teri
