Jyothics,
-:¦:-•:*'""*:•.-:¦:-•*Welcome to MyMigraineConnection!*•-:¦:-•:*'""*:•.-:¦:-
Big question! There are books written on topics this big.
A starting point would be to figure out what the triggers are that you encounter more duing the winter so you can see if they're avoidable. It could be many things -- going in an out of places that are heated, more weather changes, different sleeping patterns, or any number of other things. When working to identify triggers one of the best tools is a good Migraine diary. You can read more about this and download a free diary workbook in our article Your Migraine and Headache Diary.
Figuring out what your triggers are can help you and your doctor decide to do to avoid as many Migraines as possible and keep you more comfortable.
If you havne't already, discuss this with your doctor to see if he or she has any thoughts. If an increase in Migraines in the winter is something he or she sees a lot, your doctor may have some suggestions for you from other patients' experiences.
Welcome again,
Teri
