My daughter was on topomax briefly.   She experienced blurry vision.  She also felt  "in a fog".  Needless to say, she had a rough time in school.  We are now trying elavil.  We are also going to try biofeedback.

usually the doctor mentions weight loss - which for me happened in the first few months and then tappered off as I adjusted to being on it.

 

I also experienced tingling in my hands and feet, some speech disorders (hard time gathering words into sentences), loss of concentration and general anxiety. The anxiety might have been caused by the loss of concentration - which made school much harder.

Topamax, like any other medication, does have potential side effects. We have quite a lot of information about Topamax on our site.
