It depends on your body, how severe the hypertension is, and maybe whether it's controlled with medications.   If you're looking for preventive medications, most of them can be taken with hypertension. Some would even help treat your blood pressure as well. Kind of a "two-fer.) I don't think Midrin has any blood pressure warnings, but the triptans and ergotamines both warn against taking them with UNCONTROLLED hypertension. Talk with your doctor about this.
