Q: Major Headaches - Help!

If you know that alcohol is your trigger but varies drasticly on quantity of how much you drink then is there a suggestion beside completely stop drinking totally to not get the migraines?  I take preventative nightly meds and have the Imitrex shot but still get 3 a month if I am lucky.  Help?

Unfortunately, this is a question that can be answered only by your personal experience. Triggers vary widely from one person to another. You may find that you can drink some alcohol, but that more triggers a Migraine. Or, you may discover that some alcoholic beverages are triggers for you, but others aren't.

Depending on your experience, you may find that you simply can't consume alcohol without risking a Migraine.

It's not the end of your social life if you can't drink alcohol. You can drink something like tonic with lime, and nobody will know the difference.

I WISH I had triggers that I could simply avoid.
