Hi Joanne,   No, taking two Xanax a day would not be a good solution for Migraine, silent or otherwise. In fact, Xanax is a medication used for anxiety and is for short term use only. And it is not used for Migraine prevention.   Silent or acephalgic Migraine is any Migraine attack without the headache, or second phase. Acephalgic Migraines are treated like any other Migraines, with abortives and/or preventives if needed. Here is our information on: Acephalgic or Silent Migraine - The Basics.   Are you still getting them? A Migraine specialist may be the way to go now. This doctor, an expert, treats patients with Migraines and headache disorders, devoting his entire practice to this area. Neurologists treat so many different conditions like MS, stroke and epilepsy, it is difficult for them to be experts in any one area. We have a list of patient recommended specialists you can see HERE. Good luck Nancy
