Q: I am seeking a Hemiplegic migraine specialist in south Florida. Where can I find one?

I have just been diagnosed with Hemiplegic Migraine; stroke like symptoms, numbness on a complete half side of my body, facial pain and partial paralysis during the aura phase. I have been recommended to see a neurologist but my neurologist does not treat this condition.  Does anyone know of a specialist in South Florida that is highly recommended to treat this condition?

Thank you!

Hi Maria,

We maintain a list of Migraine specialists who are recommended by patients or by Migraine specialist I know and trust. Hopefully, you'll find one there. Take a look at Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

Hemiplegic Migraine - The Basics is an important article to read for anyone who has HM.

Good luck

Maria,

Please let me know what you find out.  My son (15) suffers from HM's as well. I too am looking for a new Neuro.
