I have been taking Topamax for two months but my eyes are killing me, I have to start back at school in a few weeks and my brain is too foggy. This medication makes me feel awful. I need to get off of it before school starts on September 29th. What is the best way to taper off of it? I am currently at 100mg. Thank you

PLEASE call your doctor first thing Monday morning. The typical taper to discontinue Topamax would take you about three weeks starting at 100 mg, so you would not be off it before school starts. However, you need to taper off under your doctor's supervision, and eye issues need to be reported IMMEDIATELY. There can be some very serious vision problems with Topama. Please take a look at Potential Vision Issues with Topamax for more information.

Please do call your doctor and let us know about your eyes?
