These really don't sound like ice pick headaches. They only last a few seconds. For more information on them, take a look at Ice Pick Headaches - The Basics. Also note that these are headaches, not Migraines.

Lupus and fibromyalgia -- anything that stresses our bodies -- can make us more susceptible to our Migraine triggers. They don't bring on the Migraines themselves, but make it more likely that our regular triggers will bring on a Migraine.

Are the twitching, numbness, and slurred speech new symptoms for you? If so, you really need to see your doctor to make sure the symptoms are Migraine and not something else. Remember that these are also stroke symptoms, so you want to be careful and be checked out by your doctor. Also, a single Migraine shouldn't last more than 72 hours. That's another time you need to see your doctor.
