Do I need to have follow up appointments with my neurologist for these?
Rae,

Who made this diagnosis? If you have a neurologist, I would make an appointment and follow up on this diagnosis.
One of the most important things is to get an accurate diagnosis. To simplify matters and make it easier for people to get information and treatment, doctors usually go by the gold standard for diagnosis, the International Headache Society's International Classification of Headache Disorders, 2nd Edition (ICHD-II). Under ICHD-II, there is no diagnosis of "complicated Migraine." You can read more about the importance of a correct diagnosis in The Type of Migraine Does Matter.
If the word "complicated" was using to describe your Migraines as opposed to being a diagnostic term for a specific form of Migraine, you still need a full diagnosis. "Migraine" alone is not a full diagnosis. To take care of ourselves and get appropriate treatment, we need to know which type of Migraine we have.
Migraine is a genetic neurological disease. Some forms of Migraine raise our risk of stroke and other cardiovascular events. Those risks aren't anything to panic about, but they are reason to talk with our doctors about healthy lifestyle and reducing our modifiable risk factors.
Please keep me posted?
Welcome again!
Teri
