Q: SubQ DHE Injections

I am midway through month 3 of a brutal CH cycle and I am currently using D.H.E. injections subcutaneously to help abort the attacks when the come. The question I have is about the side effects that I am having. I tend to feel "inebriated" for a lack of a better word, pretty much like I just drank a whole bottle of liquor, about 20 minutes after the injection. They work wonders for aborting the attack, but they leave me limited as to when I can use them. I was wondering if this is a somewhat common side effect or if maybe this is something that I should be concerned about. Thanks for the feedback.

Steve,

I've not heard of this kind of reaction to DHE before. If you haven't already, please call your doctor about this.

Have you ever tried oxygen for your cluster headaches? Studies are showing it to be quite effective. You can read about it in Inhaled Oxygen Shown Effective for Cluster Headaches.

i usually feel tired and just out of it after a CH attack. i am going through a cycle right now that has been brutal. i have had these injections twice now and i have not experienced where i feel "drunk" afterwards. you may want to tell your doctor about these symptoms.
