I have suffered from migraine headaches for years I have been to several doctors tried different medications and when they don't work the doctors turn me away. I need to find a doctor that knows what they are doing. I live in Connersville Indiana and I am living on SSI because I can't hold a job because of the migraines. They get so bad they cause me to have seizures and black outs. The pain is so bad I just can't take it any more is there any help out there for me?

Q: I have tried Zomig,Maxalt,Imitrex and many other medications with no relief what can I do ?

Yes, there IS help out there for you. It sound like it's time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists. There may not be a specialist in your immediate area, but even if you have to travel a bit, it's worth it to get good care.

Hello. Have you tried Topamax. I am currently taking 50mg twice a day and I am down to only 1 migraine a month from 1-2 a week. One downfall is if you like sodas you won't be able to drink them any more. The medication makes carbination taste flat! Ask you doctor about topamax. It works for a lot of people. I hope it helps.
