Mild head or neck injuries may be to blame for headache pain experienced by soldiers returning from combat, researchers say. A study by two scientists at Madigan Army Hospital in Washington state found that out of 81 soldiers studied who developed recurrent headaches, 41 percent reported suffering minor trauma to their head or neck while at war, usually from a bomb blast.
