A new epilepsy med shows promise for treating several central nervous system conditions. Eslicarbazepine (ESL) fully eliminated seizures in 24 percent of epilepsy patients in a recent study. Researchers believe ESL could help patients with other nervous-system disorders such as neuropathic pain and bipolar disorder.
