Rebound acid reflux caused from the use of popular proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) reflux meds may cause medication dependence, researchers say. A study in Denmark found that 44 percent of healthy volunteers who started with no symptoms of reflux developed significant symptoms after being on Nexium for two months.
