The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given tentative approval to a generic form of the migraine medication Imitrex. The tentative approval is a result of patent-expiration issues, because Imitrex's patent does not expire until 2009. Officials at Indian drugmaker Aurobindo Pharma say the company will begin making the generic version of the med in January of that year.
