Good news for those who have been using Maxalt and Maxalt-MLT to treat their Migraines. The patents on both Maxalt products have expired, and several manufacturers now have approvals to produce generic rizatriptan benzoate.
At least two companies, Mylan Pharmaceuticals and Par Pharmaceutical, have begun shipping the tablets in both rizatriptan benzoate tablets and rizatriptan benzoate orally disintegrating tablets, which means they should be available in pharmacies soon.
