Shiatsu (which means "finger pressure" in Japanese) is a Japanese massage practice that uses acupressure. Acupressure is based on the Chinese principles of acupuncture. In Shiatsu massage, the therapist applies varying, rhythmic pressure using the fingers on particular parts of the body.
