The Food and Drug Administration has approved five drugs for prevention of migraine:

  • Propanolol (Inderal)
  • Timolol (Blacadrene)
  • Divalproex sodium (Depakote)
  • Topiramate (Topamax)
  • OnabotulinumtoxinA (Botox)
