Why Does Red Wine Give Me A Headache

A reader asks Dr. Neal Barnard if what he's eating could be causing his headaches. Dr. Barnard replies that yes, many foods have been known to trigger headaches, especially such foods as caffeine, red wine, MSG, wheat, and eggs. Dr. Barnard also gives information on different kinds of headaches, including sinus headaches, caffeine-withdrawal headaches, and migraines, and he talks about how headache sufferers can find the foods that may be triggering their pain.
