Treatment may stop migraines before they start

Dr. Bruce Hensel discusses a new non-drug treatment that may stop
migraine pain before it starts. Doctors first use a magnetic
resonance imaging scan to find migraine 'trouble spots' in the
brain. Then a procedure known as a transcranial magnetic
stimulation is aimed at these areas. In one study, 32 percent of
participants had no migraine symptoms after one treatment with
transcranial magnetic stimulation. This article also contains a
