Smoking may prompt migraine attacks

Smoking more than five cigarettes per day may bring on a migraine attack, a new study has found. Researchers in Spain found that people who smoked had significantly more migraine attacks than people who did not smoke. The study is notable, experts say, because previous research suggested that smoking may decrease anxiety, and thereby reduce migraines, but the new study has found just the opposite to be true.
