Obesity, migraine, ED sufferers may experience more emotional pain

According to a new survey, people who are obese, or who suffer from chronic migraines or erectile dysfunction, may experience more emotional trauma than people diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. They even appear to feel more pessimistic than those diagnosed with depression. Researchers found that people who had these everyday conditions felt more disgusted, saddened, and afraid of their condition than people who had prostate cancer, osteoporosis, and high blood pressure. Experts say this study suggests that it's critical for doctors to understand the emotional impacts of these diseases in order to better treat their patients.
