Family fights, lack of free time contribute to kids' headaches

Family fights and a lack of free time may be contributing to the number of children who experience weekly headaches, a new study has found. Researchers in Germany say that kids who were exposed to more than one family quarrel per week were 1.8 percent more likely to suffer, and those who had very little time for themselves were 2.1 percent more likely to have headaches. Overall, girls were found twice as likely to suffer as boys. And girls whose parents reacted--either positively or negatively--had a risk of recurrent headaches that was raised by 25 percent.
