Sugared Soda May Double Pancreatic Cancer Risk

A new study suggests that two sugared sodas a week may almost double a person's risk of developing pancreatic cancer. The results from a study on 60,500 people suggest that it may be the sugar in the drinks that explain the link, since insulin spikes appear to contribute to pancreatic cancer cell growth. This rare form of cancer is one of the most deadly, but since it affects only about 7,600 people per year, the overall risk from soda is relatively small, experts say.   Read full story >
