I can see the moisture, dampening the air
Tiny beautiful prisms make my vision unclear
Like fairies they dance, following my view
Amazing little criers, with a message for the few
They enter at my fingertips and climb beneath my skin
Taking over my senses, before the storm begins
Nothingness takes over half of me as they spread out their dance
Moving to an unheard rhythm that leaves me in a trance
When the pounding first begins, it seems so far away
But closer and closer it comes to me 'til it pounds as clear as day
But just as the pounding becomes unbearable and half of me begins to rain
I realize that the pounding drum is nothing other than my brain
What drives the beautiful fairies to such cruelty to me?
Bewitching my whole body? Now I cannot even see!
My weary body begins to expel them, but there is still no sign of the sun
They are growing angrier and angrier and beating harder on the drum
Doctor, kill these fairies, they slay me from inside.
Inside he puts the needle and tells me to enjoy the ride
Well now I am just falling, the fairies can't keep up
The drummers are the last to leave, but they are gone when I wake up.
