If You're Having a Crisis

by Teri Robert, Lead Expert

We understand that you and / or a loved one are having an extremely difficult time and may need some help coping. We understand because many of us have had such times ourselves. Please know that you do NOT have to go through your physical and emotional pain alone.

Please find someone to talk with right away - a family member, friend, clergy, member of your church, a therapist or doctor. This is critical. Even though it's hard to believe it right now, things actually will get better, so you need to find someone immediately who can help you realize and start believing in that again.

The HealthCentral Network is not a crisis hotline and cannot provide medical advice, BUT there ARE people and resources out there who can help you get through this.

Hotline counselors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They will listen to you without judgment [we can’t vouch for the confidentiality of these hotlines] and can talk with you about everything you’re going through.

• The Boys and Girls Town National Hotline at 1-800-448-3000

If you would like the help of a professional immediately, you can:

• call 911,
• take yourself to the nearest emergency room,
• or Find a Therapist.

None of this means that we don't want to help support you as you deal with your Migraines and/or headaches. It just means that when you're in crisis, we need you to know that there are immediate resources that you can turn to.

Please be careful and safe, and please keep posting to let us know how you're doing. We care about you, your health, and your safety.

sending you gentle, healing hugs,
Teri, Nancy, and the entire MyMigraineConnection community
