In Monoclonal Antibodies: What Are They? we discussed a little bit about how T-cells and B-cells function within the immune system and how medications have been created to target specific antigens on those same lymphocytes.  If you haven’t read it, I recommend that you read that post first...

Thanks for thorough, concise reviews written in a language I can understand.  You seem to have a talent for explaining complicated subjects to people, like me, who didn't dare take biology classes in college.   I think the last time I studied anything remotely related to human biology was when I dissected a frog in high school.  How can we make informed decisions about our care unless we have some understanding of what MS is and how medications help us?  Thanks again Lisa.

Thanks so much! I'm humbled by your comment.  Can you imagine: I didn't take biology in high school nor college.  I took some chemistry and physics (in HS), then botany and astronomy (in college) as my science credits.  And I never thought of myself as a writer.

I would say that I'm an educator though and that's probably where the 'plain language' comes into play.  But most importantly, I'm just really glad that these posts are helpful in some way.  Alot of the times, I'm creating the type of resources I wished I had found here before I started writing here.  Smile

Good job and thank you for bringing some light to these treaments.  While not doing badly, I am not happy with my progress and I'm interested in knowing whether this type of treatment will be appropriate.  I'll be better prepared to discuss with my neuro....thanks to you. Which way to go has certainly been a challenge for me this year.  Still unsure so I'll ask questions and weigh answers/options until I feel confdent..as always...we'll see
