I find this really interesting - I am almost always aware of balance (or lack of) and often use the light touch on something to steady myself when just standing still. Nothing that anyone else would notice, so it's great to read about others doing this as well instincively too.  Also, often when walking, I will just reach for someone to touch, grabbing a back of a shirt or lightly on an arm and it helps steady me when walking, crossing a road, or when just getting up and getting started. I usually find my pace when things aren't acting up and can walk fine after I 'get going' if that makes any sense.  Anyway, thank you for posting.  It was interesting to read about the commonality in all of us!
