Did you have to "wean" yourself off or did you just stop giving yourself the injection? Did you have any negative side effects getting off the meds? I am supposed to take my injection today but I do not want to...I would like to have a good weekend for once with out being miserable!!!But I dont wanna cause any problems. please let me know what your experience was. thanks

I am also consideing stopping. I've been taking it for 10 years and have never known if it was working I will be seeing the doctor next month and will ask abut this. will share answer.

I stopped taking Avonex (after ten years) to no withdrawal effects if that's what you mean. I just couldn't deal with the needle anymore. Since jabbing myself before bed was making me skip injections, I talked with my doctor and switched to Rebif three months ago.
So while I don't recommend cold turkey, I did do it with no probs if that's what you wanted input on.
I titrated onto Rebif. I liked the sub-c auto injector much better. I take it in the morning with no ill effect FYI.
