I had been struggling at work this past year or so, and the boss was getting aggravated by my struggles; and it was making me feel inept at my job even though I knew I was very good at it. Sooooooo, I quit and this June I opened a very chic optical boutique and low vision resource center! What did I get myself into!! I thought I was struggling before....I can't afford yet to hire help so I am a one person operation right now. Any advice on how I can manage my stress so my symptoms don't increase? I am already noticing a downward turn and I am a little afraid I might have started something a little more than I can handle, although I'm loving it, having fun, learning a lot about business and advertising, and helping people.

Hi Laura,
You are so ambitious to open your own boutique. Wow. Although it doesn't seem possible to hire any help, consider even just a tiny bit of part-time help. It might help relieve some of the physical and mental stress you are under right now.
As far as stress, remember to breathe, breathe deep, breathe slow. Make sure you stretch your body, keeping it limber. These are important.
I wish you luck and please let us know how the shop develops.
