I need some information! I'm Just learning of this disease. A close friend of mine was diagnosed when she was 18 years old. she is now 21. she's very independent, she works, lives alone. Basically, like any normal person. I just found out that she hasn't been taking her medicine. She told me that she can't afford it. she also told me that she has to make her medicine last, so, she skips a week or so. one box of treatment cost about 150 a month. That's what she's been paying for a while. she has no insurance they either turn her down for making too much or her premium is way too high to afford. I love my friend and i'm worried about her.
