What do you take for granted?
In May, my question of the week was What are you grateful for?
Michael B. Gerber said, “The opposite of gratitude is taking things for granted. So let’s make that the next question. What did we take for granted today?” Michael, this one is for you.
Michael suggested “Paved roads, elbows and public utilities to name a few of the things that I take for granted.” Think of life without these things that never seem to make it on our gratitude lists.
Then Cathy offered a quote from writer Cynthia Ozick: "We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude."
For me, there were many things I took for granted in my pre-MS life, and now it is difficult to find anything I do not appreciate in one fashion or another. Yes, Michael, even elbows.
So the question this week is: What do you take for granted?
